Utrecht, 26 June 2025 - PQR today announced the acquisition of E-Storage - experts in complex data availability and cyber recovery issues. With the acquisition, PQR strengthens its data centre and cloud services with advanced solutions that keep customer data secure and accessible at a time when cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated, large-scale and frequent. RELAY acted as financial advisor to E-Storage in this transaction.
Founded in 1999, E-Storage has 38 employees and turns an annual turnover of around EUR 23 million. E-Storage's experts have in-depth knowledge of data infrastructures, cyber recovery and data migrations. The company is also known as a renowned specialist in management and implementation of partners' solutions IBM, NetApp, Dell, Commvault, Rubrik and Veeam and offers data availability and cyber recovery services for both on-premises and cloud environments. E-Storage's entire team will be integrated into PQR's organisation. With the integration of E-Storage, PQR will grow to over 330 employees.
"The ongoing security and availability of data is invaluable for organisations that want to work quickly and reliably data-driven," says Marco Lesmeister, Managing Director of PQR. "With the acquisition of E-Storage, we gain scarce knowledge and experience to help our customers protect their data in a standards-compliant manner such as NIS-2 and DORA. E-storage offers a complete cyber recovery solution for cyber resilience that meets the requirements needed for rapid recovery of core processes after an incident. This enhancement is perfect for organisations where data is extremely privacy-sensitive, such as financial institutions and hospitals."
"Together with PQR, we have the scale, clout and expertise to further build on our innovation and specialisation strength to support our customers even better," said Koen Timmermans, Head of Sales at E-Storage.
Expansion of service portfolio
For PQR, the acquisition of E-Storage is a logical next step after rapid organic growth and previous acquisitions. The company is following an acquisition-driven strategy to expand its dedicated services portfolio, giving customers a single point of contact for delivery, implementation and management of modern workstations, hybrid data centre and cloud environments, networking and security. PQR has been part of Germany's Bechtle Group since 2022, which in the Netherlands consists of several companies with a total of around 800 employees.
"By merging E-Storage's experts with the PQR team, we can offer our customers the most powerful solutions in the Dutch market for data infrastructures and cyber recovery," said Marijke Krist, Vice President of Bechtle Group in the Netherlands. "For Bechtle Group in the Netherlands, this is a perfect complement to our workplace proposition and services for data centres and hybrid cloud environments."
